When You’re Away is the second single from a full length album set to be released on Spotify in early spring. While The Cave Arcade’s typical lyrical choices are based in the surreal or fictional, When You’re Away is perhaps our most grounded and relatable song to date. It is a self reflective song about the end of a relationship. The singer is becoming aware of the fact that, despite what they've been trying to assure themselves, time spent together is emotional while time apart is preferred.
